Stephanie's Review of Highland Park 12

Cost: $42 from Bevmo
Alcohol Content: 43%
Method: Neat
Color: Russet/muscat
Nose: Light, sweet, cooked pear
Taste: Peat, sweet, slight medicine flavor.
Finish: Light smoke, coastline, beach fire.

Notes: This scotch has a very light nose but definitely comes across as sweet. The initial taste is slightly medicine oriented, but that only lasts a little bit. It does have a small burning feeling in the mouth and throat after swallowing, but nothing too bad. The finish reminds me of a campfire at the beach. Not salty, but that fresh ocean air and smoke taste. The finish is much better than the taste.

I enjoy this more than other scotches I've tried, but would not call it my favorite. Too much of a medicine flavor to drink it often. I would rate this at 80/100.
